TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PRICES, TAXES, AND CUSTOMS DUTIES
The retail prices are always expressed in euros. The transportation and delivery of products to recipients located within the Lisbon Municipality will be the responsibility of MERA. For buyers outside this municipality, transportation methods and fees must be assessed according to the respective location.
Payment will be made with Visa, American Express, or PayPal. Before the product leaves our facilities, the full amount must be paid in accordance with the sales terms. Transportation is carried out after payment at the time of purchase. All banking information provided is securely stored and is not disclosed to any external organization or third party.
For European Union (EU) countries, prices include Portuguese VAT of 23% and do not include customs duties.
Prices include packaging, common for land transport. For countries outside the European Union (EU), prices do not include VAT, but additional taxes may apply in the destination country, to be paid by the buyer. Packaging is not included in the price for sea transport or other special transport. In these cases, all transportation, insurance, and customs duty operations are charged to the buyer, and delivery is made at their own risk.
EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
The buyer, after verifying a defect in the respective piece upon delivery, must inform MERA via email within 10 (ten) days. The buyer must provide the references and details necessary for a quick assessment of the defect. MERA ensures that it will correct all defects resulting from design, execution, or installation, except where the defect results from improper installation, transportation, or use, which are the buyer’s responsibility.
Once informed, MERA must be available to correct the defect with due diligence and under its own responsibility. In the case of a return and refund, this will be executed using the same payment method, within 10 (ten) days after receipt of the returned product.
MERA is not responsible for any personal or material damage or loss caused to the buyer or third parties, even accidentally, during the use of the product or resulting from maintenance efforts. This particularly refers to safety issues concerning people and property regarding the products.

JURISDICTION
In the event of a dispute, and if no amicable agreement is reached, it is expressly agreed that all disputes related to contracts concluded with the buyer in Portugal will be resolved exclusively by the courts of the Lisbon judicial district, excluding any other, even in the case of appeal or multiple litigants.
For a buyer abroad, the dispute will be governed by the laws of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
